I built this vanity for a customer of Peterson Builders. Its made from clear alder.
This was a fun project. This was a remodel we did at Peterson Builders. in this photo it shows the custom raised panel wainscot we installed in the main living area of the home. We also glazed the railing changing the color from and old polyurethane yellow to that nice brown.
I made this mantel for them years before the remodel. We moved it to this location and built the fireplace surround to fit it. On each side of that fireplace chase is a set of adjustable book shelves.
This is a picture of the coffered ceiling in the main living area. We also added a coffered ceiling in the kitchen area but built big beams and put crown around them. This was to hid the steel support beam we had to leave. This was a long job but one of my favorites.

This was a mantel I built to go in the same house as the one below.
This is a mantel I built in 2008 for a customer of Peterson Builders. It's made with clear Alder and stained to match the other alder in the house. The owner brought me a picture and wanted it to look the same, so I did.

My wife wanted me to post a train that I made for my son in 2008. Jason, Ben, and I got together and made I think 5 or 6 of these trains. It was a fun simple project to make and I know the 3 I made for me are still being used today. The only problem I had was the wheels would make a blood curdling squeal when they were pushed. To solve this I took the wheels off and greased the wood with a spot of all purpose grease.
These are old Christmas photos because my boy decided to refinish the train with a ball point pen. Nice
